Group verbs
1. Act:
Ø  Act on or upon(ক্ষতিকরা)-such hard work will act upon your health
Ø  Act under(আদেশঅনুসারেকাজকরা)-he acted under the order of the headmaster
Ø  Act up to(অনুসারেকাজকরা)-he always act up to my advice
2. Ask:
Ø  Ask for (চাওয়া)-he asked for a loan of one thousand rupees.
3. Bear:
Ø  Bear away, off(জয়করিয়ালওয়া) -He bore away four prizes in the annual sports
Ø  Bear on(সম্পর্কিতহওয়া)-His remark does not bear on this subject
Ø  Bear out(সমর্থনকরা)-His evidence does not bear out the charge
Ø  Bear up(মনেরজোরবজায়রাখা)-His patience bore him up in that crisis
Ø  Bear with (সহ্যকরা)-I cannot bear with such insults.
4. Blow:
Ø  Blow off (নির্গত)-The engine blows off carbon-di-oxide.
Ø  Blow out (নেভানো)-Blow out the lamp.
5. Break
Ø  Break away(ভাঙ্গিয়াবাহিরহইয়াআসা)-The convict broke away from the prison
Ø  Break down (দুর্বলহইইয়াপড়া)-His health broke down for hard work.
Ø  Break in, on (বাধাদেওয়া)-You should not break in our conversation.
Ø  Break out(ছড়াইয়াপড়া)-Cholera broke out in the village
Ø  Break up (বন্ধহওয়া)-Our school breaks up at 4p.m.
6. Bring:
Ø  Bring about (ঘটানো)-He tried to bring about a quarrel between them
Ø  Bring down (নিম্নমুখীকরা)-The good harvest brought down the price of rice
Ø  Bring in দেওয়া)-His property brings him in Rs. 5000 year.
Ø  Bring off (রক্ষাকরা)-He brought off the passengers on the wrecked dhip
Ø  Bring out (ছাপাইয়াপ্রকাশকরা)-The publisher has brought out a new book.
Ø  Bring through (আরোগ্যলাভকরা)-The new medicine has brought the patient through
Ø  Bring up (প্রতিপালনকরা)-She is brought up by her mother
7. Call:
Ø  Call at (কোনযায়গায়যাওয়া)-He called at my office yesterday.
Ø  Call for(চাওয়া)-He called for an explanation
Ø  Call forth(কাজেলাগানো)-You have to call forth all your energy in the ensuing examination
Ø  Call in(ডাকা)-please call in a doctor
Ø  Call off(উঠাইয়ালওয়া)- The strike was called off
Ø  Call on, upon(কাহারোসহিতদেখাকরা)-He called on me in the office
Ø  Call out( আওয়াজকরা)- He called out for help
Ø  Call over(ডাকা)-The teacher called over the names of his pupils in the class
Ø  Call up(স্মরণকরা)-I cannot call up your name
8. Carry:
Ø  Carry away(স্থানান্তরিতকরা)-The wounded man was carried away to the hospital
Ø  Carry away(মৃত্যুঘটানো)-He was carried away by the current
Ø  Carry off (মৃত্যুঘটানো)-Cholera has carried off one hundred people this year in the village
Ø  Carry off( জিতিয়ালওয়া)-He carried off all the prizes

9. Catch:
Ø  Catch at (সুযোগগ্রহণকরা)-A drawing man catches at a straw.
Ø  Catch up (নাগালেধরা)-India is trying to catch up with the advanced countries.
10. Come:
Ø  Come across (দেখিতেপাওয়া): How did the accident come about?
Ø  Come by (পাওয়া): How did you come by this picture?
Ø  Come of (জন্মগ্রহণকরা):He comes of a respectable family
Ø  Come off (সম্পন্নহওয়া): Our annual sports came off yesterday.
Ø  Come to (পরিমাণহওয়া): His income comes to our expectation.
11. Do:
Ø  Do for (কাজেলাগা): This cloth will do for a flag
Ø  Do up (গুছানো): He had to do up many rooms every day.
Ø  Do with (ব্যবহারকরা): He has to do with all sorts of people.
12. Draw:
Ø  Draw in (সংকুচিতকরা): Try to draw in your expenditure.
Ø  Draw off (টানিয়াফেলা): She drew off her gloves.
Ø  Draw on (কাছাকাছিহওয়া): The festival is drawing on.
13. Fall:
Ø  Fall from (বাহিরহওয়া): Not a word fell from his lips.
Ø  Fall off (কমিয়াযাওয়া): The quality of goods has fallen off.
Ø  Fall on (আক্রমনকরা): The robbers fall on the passer-by.
Ø  Fall out (কলহকরা): Do not fall out with your friend.
14. Find:
Ø  Find out (খুঁজিয়াবাহিরকরা): He is always busy to find out his faults.
15. Get:
Ø  Get at (হাতেরনাগালেপাওয়া): The books are locked up and I can’t get at them.
Ø  Get by (পাশদিয়েযাওয়া): Please let me get by.
Ø  Get into (উঠা): He got into the train.
Ø  Get through (সাফল্যলাভকরা): He got through the examination.
16. Give:
Ø  Give in (বশ্যতাস্বীকারকরা): The enemies give in the last.
Ø  Give off (নিঃসৃতকরা-The cooking coal gives off a lot of smoke.
Ø  Give up (পরিত্যাগকরা): Try to give up your bad habit.
17. Go:
Ø  Go away (প্রস্থানকরা): He has gone away with all his belonging.
Ø  Go against (বিরুদ্ধেযাওয়া): This goes against the interest of the people.
Ø  Go beyond (অতিক্রমকরা): You have gone beyond your limit.
Ø  Go by (অনুসারেচলা): I have to go by rules.
Ø  Go out (নিভিয়াযাওয়া): The light has gone out.

18. Keep:
Ø  Keep in ( সংযতরাখা): They were kept in by rain.
Ø  Keep down (বশেরাখা): He could not keep down his anger.
Ø  Keep off (দূরেথাকা): Keep off the fire.
Ø  Keep on (চালাইয়াযাওয়া): He kept on shouting.
Ø  Keep up (বজায়রাখা): he always tries to keep up his reputation as a good teacher.
19. Look:
Ø  Look at (তাকানো): He is looking at the moon.
Ø  Look for (খোঁজা): He is looking for a job.
Ø  Look on (গণ্যকরা): I look on him as my best friend.
20. Make:
Ø  Make away (হত্যাকরা): He made away with himself.
Ø  Make off (পালাইয়াযাওয়া): The thief made off with ornaments.
Ø  Make over (হস্তান্তরকরা): He has made over the charge to the secretary.
Ø  Make up for (ক্ষতিপূরণকরা): I must make up for the lost time.
21. Put:
Ø  Put by (সঞ্চয়করা): Put by something for your old age.
Ø  Put down (লেখা): Put down your name on the blackboard.
Ø  Put off (মুক্তহওয়া): Put off your shoes.
Ø  Put on (পরিধানকরা): Put on your dress.
Ø  Put on (ভানকরা): He puts on an air of innocence.

Ø  Run away (পলায়নকরা): He boys ran away on seeing the police.

23. See:
Ø  See off (বিদায়জানাতেযাওয়া): I went to the station to see my friend off.

24. Send:
Ø  Send for (ডাকিয়াপাঠানো): Please send for a doctor.
Ø  Send up (প্রতিযোগিতারজন্যপাঠানো):Fifty candidates have been sent up for examination.
25. Set:
Ø  Set aside (অগ্রাহ্যকরা): Let us set aside all formalities.
Ø  Set by (সঞ্চয়করা): Set by something for old age.
Ø  Set in (শুরুকরা): The rains have set in.
Ø  Set up (প্রতিষ্ঠাকরা): The villagers have set up a school in the village.
26. Take:
Ø  Take after (সদৃশহওয়া): She takes after her mother.
Ø  Take by(ধরা):He took the man by his neck
Ø  Take for (গন্যকরা): I took him for a saint.
Ø  Take to (আসক্তহওয়া): He has taken to drinking in his youth.
27. Work:
Ø  Work on (কাজচালিয়েযাওয়া): He worked on throughout the night.
Ø  Work out(সমাধানকরা): He could not work out the sum.
Ø  Work at (সযত্নেকোনকিছুতেনিযুক্তথাকা): He is working at the statue.
